A House of Allah is standing in a refugee camp — but it is not yet complete.
In Nyankanda Refugee Camp, Burundi, thousands of displaced families struggle to rebuild their lives. Amid hardship, one place has become their spiritual anchor: Nyankanda Mosque.
This masjid is not a plan.
It is not an idea.
It is already alive.
Five daily prayers are performed inside its walls. Children sit on the floor learning Qur’an. Women gather for knowledge and support. On Fridays and Eid, the masjid fills with voices calling upon Allah together.
The mosque opened in August 2026 through trust-based Sadaqah Jariyah, so worship could begin without delay. The community stepped forward in faith, believing the Ummah would later help complete the House of Allah.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him a house in Jannah.”
By helping complete this mosque, you are:
This is not charity that ends.
This is reward that continues.
To fully secure and preserve the mosque, we are seeking USD $17,000 for:
Once completed, Nyankanda Mosque will stand stronger, safer, and more dignified for long-term use by refugees and local families.
Every prayer prayed.
Every child taught Qur’an.
Every tear shed in du’a.
All of it becomes part of your scale of good deeds. Whether you give $10, $100, or more, you become a partner in this House of Allah.
